Sanjay Sharma

A Mass Communication graduate from MCRC, Jamia, Sanjay has three decades of experience in building, managing and nurturing teams of creative and technology professionals, working together and creating compelling media products for new media as well as for TV and Film.

In 2003 Sanjay Co-founded ‘Pictureal’ with a mission to turn customer’s memories recorded on video, the mission was to finally turn them into engaging content, edit, preserve and enable their sharing online. This start up venture attracted funding from top tier VC company DFJ (Draper Fisher & Jurvetson). In the year 2007 the team created a product called “Adaptive Ads” a next generation banner ad delivery ad-server under “Personiva” which got acquired by Glam Media in January 2009, which was the beginning of formation of Glam India and Sanjay as Managing Director and country head scaled up Glam India from mere 25 to almost 200 strong young team of creative & engineering professionals working under one roof.

In 1992, Sanjay joined Times of India as Sr. Producer with Times Television where he directly reported to Mr. Vineet Jain. During his stint at Times Television he pioneered the Fashion programming in India by creating a TV series entitled “Timestyle”. Sanjay got tremendous experience doing most prestigious TV events such Filmfare Awards & Femina Miss India, Bryan Adams show as Executive Producer. As Head of Television, Drishti India, Sanjay led the team and executed various big projects working with Mr. Subhash Ghai.

During 2000-2003 Sanjay joined Metalight Productions where he Produced the prime time show “Chappar Phaad ke” anchored by Govinda for Sony Entertainment TV. Sanjay also Directed “Bobby Ke Bakre” a telefilm written by Vishal Bhardwaj for Zee. Before moving on to Online Media stream Sanjay worked as Executive Producer for “Teen Deewarien” feature film directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.

At Sunshine Productions, Sanjay as Creative Producer is entrusted with a task to scale the ongoing productions to newer heights & provide help in building content strategy for OTT platforms and Film production initiatives.
